Travel Time Reality Check
Google says 2.5-3 hours but expect 3.5. The highway to Cañas is fast, but the turn-off toward Monteverde goes through winding mountain roads, and the last 35km is unpaved. Fog is common at night. Our vans and experienced drivers handle it safely, but it does take time.
